Can we please have a break from this invasive mass posting have you nothing better to do.
hey now, she has a right to post, just as much as anyone else. I know someone who also mass posts to, so I wouldn't say much to her. Ever now and then, people get huge inspirations to post or something lol! If yhou don't want to answer her posts, u don't have to. I know that sometimes when people post too much, it can get annoying or something, but I sorta like some of the topics that she posts.
really well some might disagree and I've never been 1 to hide in the background,yes she has a right but to completely smother the boards is unfair to other members who may have wanted to post something important.
you have a very good point, I think she just likes to talk a lot hahaha! I think that everyones posts are very important, and you yourself have also posted lots of important things up there to.

When you say "mass posting" Do you mean mass posting as in starting discussions or replying to topics? I can't help it if I want to respond to someone's topic more then once. Especially mine. As I started my own topics I prefer to keep them going if I can and if someone replies, I respond. The only time I post alot of topics are jokes and that doesn't happen often either. Sheesh give the girl some slack she doesn't attack you Gobblin so why should you have the right to attack her? Especially in a public forum..... Ya know there is no block system on PMs so why don't you send her a PM and resolve it there?
well that's your choice, just like it's Caitlin's choice to do as she likes. It's wrong for you to even say this. there are no rules as to the amount of posts each person can have. and, also as blindvie says, if you have a problem, i reckon you should be whindging about it privately rather than humiliating her publically like this.

As for her creating lots of topics, she certainly does do this and I haven't possibly got enough time to view more than a few of them, but there's nothing wrong with that mi' old china! A few months ago you were complaining that people didn't post enough, and now poor Kaitlyn is on the wrong end of the Goblinian tide of wrath because she doth post too much? For shame, sir! Kaitlyn for the record your posts seem always to be quite cheerful etc. and make up for the ever so slightly monotonous crusade about the black Watch which our Goblin treats us to, so keep posting young lass.

Well all I can say is I wish I could post that much. Posting is what keeps boards alive and going, and I just wish I could think of that many topics, but alas, I'm limited in how much my brain can think of. I've always found something in Caitlins' posts I can reply to, or that I've had a little bit of experience with, so all I got to say is, keep em coming. That's what message boards are for.
If there started to be a limit to how many messages a person could post on boards, you'd never see me on a message board ever again.

Nnor me, my friends, nor me. And our Goblin would be about as far over the limit by now as an alcoholic who's just spent the last ten years in Saudi Arabia, and arrived home on his birthday in happy hour at a bar with a late license! If any limit were imposed on posters and/or posts, then I would never post again so disgusted would I be. Oops, wrong thing to say there, they'll all be living in hope now won't they?
Aha! I have now discovered the real reason for our man north of the border's complaints! Kaittlyn, I perceive, has gone posting crazy during the festive period, taking advantage of the fact that the Lawlord was not in town to secure herself in the silver medal position. In so doing, hoewver, she's snuck up on the rails as it were and now only trails Goblin by a piffling 114. the truth always outs in the end.
I agree with wonderwomen. Part of a message board is to have topics and replies. And those who post topics and reply to them keep the message board system alive. I only wish though my website had more members, and a frequented number of people to keep the boards going. Cause once the boards go dead it's a hell of a grip to get the thing going again. Mine have been silent and still for two months now. So I agree, if ou want a sucessful flowling message board then let people post and reply.
Yes if a message board did not admit of replies it would be like one of those annoying conversation wherein the one party monopolises the discourse so that the other can't get a word in edgeways and then has the audacity to say 'I enjoyed our discussion'!
I left this sight a while back, because I posted a message in 3 different boards, and neither was replied to, so I just left out of sheer apathy.

I have to agree with what seems to be the majority opinion here...If you don't want to read them then don't, but there is no call for attacking her publically, and if your just complaining because she's catching you in the number of posts...Well, that's childish, and...I won't go on. I think anyone with some common since can see my point.
Yeah I guess you can say people are envious because people are catching up to them being on top. It's stupid, it's childish and I hope she continues to post. Some of her discussions are actually worth reading and posting in.

we all have the right to an opinion, however, we are all different people, and just because what Katelynn has to say is not necessarily to your liking, it doesn't give her less of a right to post than yourself. My supposition, Goblin, was my sense of humour at work again old lad. Not immature in the slightest! If you expect lawyers to be sage, sombre and funerial all the time then I'm afraid my friend that either you're to be sorely disappointed, or my career at the bar will be very short, because the last thing I want to be is a person of that rather dull character. Okay, finally I found this topic. I must admit when I started reading it last night, I was really quite moved. I mean, I saw the topic and I thought, "Ohno, I've done it now." And I wondered who would say what. And when I saw all you guys kind of rallying in my defense I was so happy. Because I love the site and I love the fact that I've made so many good friends here, and this just proved to me that I have. I haven't been on the site for a few days and I wasn't here to state my thoughts on this, and you guys did it for me. So thank you very much to all of you who put your nickel's worth in on my behalf, truly. Now, let me say what i have to say. First of all, again, thanks to all of you for writing in here. Secondly, as RdFreak said, there's plenty of room. No matter how much anyone posts, there's room for more. So there's no issue there, as I've asked before. Thirdly, I posted a topic apologizing if my posting so much made anyone mad. Fourthly, I think my posts are somewhat interesting, because people seem to enjoy them. If no one had replied, I obviously would have stopped. I only post so much because I value your guys' conversation, and I want to hear what you have to say. Fifthly, I read others' posts and I don't just concentrate on my own topics. I try to make sure everything I say is interesting and comprehendable, so none of my posts, or at least few of them, are pointless, I would hope. I mean, pointless in a bad way. I like to be pointless sometimes for a bit of fun. Sixthly, I always try to be positive and fair to everyone in everything I do, and I haven't ever shamed someone, even if I don't agree with anything they say, and frankly I was a bit hurt by this topic at first, but appeased now that I've read it through and realized the support. Seventhly, my posts do have a point and I think people can relate. Eighthly, and this really should be firstly, I don't care about competition at all! I mean, I realize I'm second, and I think that's fun and cool, but I didn't work to get there because of that at all. I post on the boards because it's fun! I don't care if that's believable or not but that's why I do it. Ninthly, I had a list of topics I'd thought of that day, and I had just got around to posting them all. I won't do that again. I promise. I realize that was way too many. I was on break, and finally had a time to catch up with the boards and all I'd missed over school. I haven't been on for a few days, so I guess that all those topics have blown over. Just remember I post because I love it and I don't mean to annoy anyone, I really don't. And finally, tenthly, Goblin and many other people post a lot too. There's nothign wrong with that, as long as the conversation is intelligent. I have no problem with this. I'm sorry for keeping you all so long, and again, for annoying the heck out of you. I realize I've been a bit out of hand. Ask anyone who knows me, I'm like that. I talk and write a lot and have a tendency to take it to far. I'm sorry this was kind of long, but I had to get everything out in the open. Thank you so much to all of you, and truly, I'm not mad at anyone here. I"m just glad that hopefully this has been resolved.

Sorry guys, but I forgot something. I realize some of you might think I'm somewhat of a loser and a person who has nothing better to do than post all that much. If you want the honest truth, that posting binge was done in one day. ONe day when I was getting over a cold and stuck in the house, and I haven't been on the zone for like four days after that and posted a ton, just on and off. And I do have other thigns i love doing. Just look at my profile lol.

Don't apologise for posting! aS freya rightly said it's a message board, and apologising for posting is like apologising for drinking out of a coffee cup because you have to was it up afterwards. Kaitlyn I agree with your ten propositions above, but you have nothing for which to apologise in my view. As for my harmless bit of humour about Goblin worrying that Kaitlyn is going to steel his crown it does seem to have been taken ever so slightly the wrong way by one or two persons who shall remain nameless, does it not? Wake up people! It was only a joke!
Yeah you shouldn't apologize just because one person has a problem with your mass posting. If he/she had a problem with you instead of making a production in a public forum about it to just simply PM you and talk it out there. What you didn't do which is very mature was not retaliate and attack Gobblin back. Everytime there's a argument on a public board people retailate. Good for you :)

I wish I could agree with you GD, but unfortunately our friend Goblin has a reputation for similar topics to these, which seem to make rather daft points at other zoners' expense. For example, 'too many views and too few answers', 'The world is now a more stupid place' etc. There are some people who have to remember that this is but a message board, that's all. it's a light-hearted forum and the reason we're all on here is just to have a bit of fun, make friends and kill some time, isn't it? I rest my case.

I agree with bug and everyone else on this one. I've had a couple of individuals on here try and put me in my place, just because I made a suggestion they didn't like or agree with, and that's what I said to them. I think there is too much of people telling other people to stop a topic, simply because they think it's getting old, and they're just tired of seeing it at the top, but I have a contrary streak in me, so if anyone tells me to stop posting, or to stop posting on a topic, I will post that much more, lol! Because of you caitlin, my safe haven board has gotten up to 1005 posts! yay! keep em coming! Like others have said, if you don't like it, then hit the back button, or don't bother reading it at all. I agree. Caitlin should be able to post as much as she wants and so should anyone else. If you happen to not like something just don't read it. That's why there is a preview capability that allows you to skip material that doesn't interest you.

wow, lawlord, we've all been told to shut up, so now I have to put another 5 cents worth, because since I've contributed to this topic, I feel I'm being included in with the rest, who are being asked or ordered in an asking sort of way to shut up, and I hate being told to shut up, and since she's 17, and I'm 45, old enough to be her mom, I'm not feeling shy about putting this topic back at thetop. Like I said, if I'm being told to shut up, I will go on and on and on, it just gives me so much incentive to keep going. I said on another board, that I had a bit of contrariness in me, and If I'm ordered not to do something, I'm all that much more determined to do it. I seldom have much to talk about in the other boards anyway, but since we've been told to shut up, I couldn't resist. I've noticed that the very topics people are telling other people to drop the topic has the most views. I think when they fix it so we can put board posters on ignore, we won't have so much with people telling other people to drop this or that topic. I'll be so glad when that day comes. Then when someone says, can we please drop this topic? I can put them right on ignore, yay!

I'm in full agreement with you there wonderwoman, and you'll notice that I've never been one for telling people to shut up, in fact I react to it in much the same way as you. so, does that mean you're also signing up to falling on the originator of the topic and giving him a good kicking as well?
well, I've never been much at kicking people, but I' am glad I jumped in and said my piece. Those of us with soft bones have to be careful when it comes to kicking, because the other person can kick back, and kick harder, lol. I'm just trying to express myself without getting in to any major fights. I think my mom worries about me getting in to trouble on here as it is, she knows my tendency to say what I think and feel, and she told one butitian in a beauty shop once, that if I'm cornered, I will tell the person who's trying to corner me off, which is true. Has anyone ever told you to shut up? When I was little, it use to make me cry,but now it just makes me mad. But if you put people on ignore lawlord, then you won't have anyone to argue with lol, jk. Goblin hasn't been back because I bet he's searching for that episode of 'Bottom' where they all fall on Richy and Eddie and give them a good kicking to see how they manage to wriggle out of it, so that he can use the same tactics.
I've just found the episode of 'bottom' where the good kicking is meated out. It happens to be the same one as the one where they put £500 on a three-legged blind race horse at 100 to 1, having ttaised the said £500 by stealing a wooden leg from a man in a pub while he dozed, and pawning it. Hence the line, 'Best foot forward, I'll leg it down to the pawn shop.'

He's from glasgow, they round off every evening with a good kicking. that's why they never bother booking hotels when they go on Holiday, because they know that they're guaranteed a night's lodging in the cells after every evening out. well, I'm post 106 in this topic, and I'm almost at post 490, gradually going up there. Oh well, I said once, that posts add up, like the miles on a car. Our suzuki already has 1089 miles on it, just from going out for burgers on the weekend, and mom going to the store. It won't be too much longer till my posts hit the 500 mark.

Thanks rdfreak, I've never considered myself as funny, not that I'm a prune, I can joke a bit, and I do have a bit of a sense of humor, but I've never been the continual cut up party party type, and I do like to be serious and have serious conversations. I would say it's my age, but I was sort of serious even when I was younger. Thanks Caitlin, it's nice to hear. Wow Caitlin, I don't think any of my original posts have entered the most popular topic category, but it's probably just as well it doesn't, because just a topic is under the most popular topics doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is interested in the topic or discussion, but ratherit seems mostly flame wars get posted in the most popular topics. Well Caitlin, I don't think you're boring or annoying, you just like to talk, and there's nothing wrong with that. When I was your age, I could've probably thought of lots of topics, but they'd have most likely been rambling, because I would've said whatever comes in to my head at that moment. Getting back slightly back to the topic in the beginning, it's just my opinion, but I think maybe Goblin started that give us a break thing, because you're as young as you are, and people think that just because a person is very young, and people just automatically assume a person who is very young won't say anything back. Wow, I've usually always sort of stayed in the background in the other boards, but looks like I'm coming forth lately, at least for today. I've changed a bit in recent months, or maybe it's a part of me that's just been coming out that has always been there all the time. When I first got on the accessible chat program, I had a lot of trouble with harrassers, and people who liked to be mean, just for the sake of being mean, and I'd almost fly to the ends of the earth to avoid any confrontation. Mind you, I don't start things with people, or just put myself in situations where I see how much verbal abuse I can take, but I don't back down and run so much anymore either.

Thanks cg, that's most appreciated. We have had a lot of talks on e-pals, and we never really ran out of things to talk about. I have mostly just said what comes to mind as it came to me, and somedays my thoughts flow more than they do on other days. I' don't know for sure why I'm so posty right now, it seems I just am. But I broke off on my last post, because I think overexceeding the character limit is what makes a post unreadable and show you as a 0. Anyway, after I had had 2 bad incidents on a c, I created a private room and invited all my friends, and hoped I had escaped them,but then they started hacking my room, and it seemed to me that my room had become a hackers paradise, so I changed my screen name, but then the trouble makers, one or 2 at least, not knowing who I was, started demanding to get in, and I just started getting more undesirable posts. I better end this before it cuts me off. to be continued.

So anyway, I finally just turned pages off, so no one could send me messages from other rooms, and there were only 3 or 4 people who knew me under my new screen name, spidergirl, and I sort of got on the outs with one, and the others gradually disappeared, and I'd be in my private room for hours by myself. I can be in a room by myself for an hour or 2, I have a cassette player on the desk by my computer, so I'd listen to that until someone came in, or until I got a nice page. It was to that point, before I turned pages off, when that voice would come up and say, some one is paging you, my first thought would be, oh lord, who's after me now?
Well after a while, I began to get mad, and felt like I'd been the one to be singled out, so I started going back in the public rooms, but I'd jump out of the room as soon as those I considered my enemies came in.

That's hard, Wonderwoman. I know just how you feel. WHen there's people that make me nervous around me, I leave right away, my heart kind of racing lol. I can't help it. And so I know just how you feel. Trying to avoid people, and still be with the people you want to be with, on the Internet, is really hard and exhausting sometimes.

Yeah Caitlin, you're right, it's hard but for a while, there were just enough nice people on accessible chat to keep me on there, and as I grew stronger, a bit tougher, it sort of became a challenge, just to see how long I could be a survivor on there, and I was almost on my way to having a one year aniversary on there, but things got so bad, it was closed just a month before it would've been a year since I'd come on there.
I think now though, if another good text chat program comes out, I will only download it and go on it if there are people I use to talk to on the older one, or other places.

As for text chat, I've gone on FC, but not for very long and not too much, just because there's too much foul language and harassment and so on on there. Plus, I just didn't have many people to talk to on there and so on. I like the zone much better.

Yeah goldenly dolphin, been there, done that, nobody for me to talk to, and as for a lot of the old gang, that's why I don't go on there, none of the nice old gang, but a lot of the other old gang, and there are too many bots. I had it, and I went on it about once a month, but I finally uninstalled it, along with several other programs, like mirc, and microsoft chat.

That's why I'm still on the fridnds-of-chat list, really, that's the way they spelled friends, I'm still on there because I figure if they bring it back, that list would be the first place I'd hear about it, but so far, no go. When I first went back to for-the-people, I really missed it, not necessarily the people, though I missed the nice people, because you could haveseveral conversations going on at once, and I missed being able to text chat with at least one person, while others were in to their own thing. I was talking to someone in quick text chat on ftp, and when I said I missed it, one person couldn't believe anyone missed it, he said it was a bunch of junk. Well, the program and the features weren't what made it junk if you know what I mean. The program was very good, it was just most of the people that had made it what it was in the end. Although freedom chat wasn't even as good, like you said, Dobyn, but at least when I did have someone to go in a private room with, I didn't have people from other rooms bothering me.

Hi All. Yeah, I didnt' really like FC from teh beginning. It's cool if you meet some friends on there or whatever, but otherwise there's just too much swearing and harrassing and yelling and arguing to have much fun. And there's bots all over the place. Sometimes I don't know if a person is a person or a bot!

yeah, they'd give the bot the same name as they had for themselves, and at first, I'd think it was a person, and if it didn't answer me, I'd think it was just someone ignoring me. I was not only on Accessible chat, but was a moderator. I know why the site was shut down, too many people abusing the site and both the people using it and those in charge of it. I also know that it will be coming back eventually. I am on the team of programmers working on the new improved chat client for AC. It will be much more secure and the people in charge will have much more control over things. There is no date set yet for when it will be up again, but it will be eventually.
sorry I didn't make the connection. I think you and I may have talked at least once there? I was wonderwoman on there also. I think you were ice prince. I look forward to it coming back. I hope there will be an option for a host to ban people from their room, not that I would ban anyone just because i could, but it would be best to be able to when someone obnoxious started causing trouble.

You know the only slightly negative thing about a blob of new posts in a very short period of time is that seeing all those topics I get sort of overwhelmend and end up not replying to posts I would've replied to if there were not so many new topics. That's the only reason I'm happiest when there are like 5 to 10 new topics every day as opposed to may be 30. That being said, no criticism on Caitlin, she has some great posts, the fact they all came in such a short period of time sort of made it impossible for me to respond to them and I noticed a few of them had very few replies, if she had spaced them out a little more she could have gotten more of a discussion out of each one. And I also think posting the same thing in a lot of different boards is a little bit annoying (sorry wonder woman, no offense to you) because you see the same topic 3 times and wonder which one to reply to and I think it's enough to post it in one spot, the most appropriate baord, I always use the "topics with new posts" search and I think most people do and the topic shows up multiple times this way.

As I see it, for me at least, there aren't enough features to make it worse my while, though the price is a fare one for a yearly subscription. Someday, other things will no doubt be added that would incur me to pay for them. The two-minute audio clip is cool though but not enough so that I'd pay for it.
As the site grows, and pay membership grows, I'll I'm sure eventually find things to make it worth it to pay for them.

I agree with you John. The one thing that might be tempting is if they had separate quicknotes for different age groups. Unfortunately, there is not enough older folk participation for that. Anyway, I don't even have quick notes on anymore. I only turn them on when someone I talk to on other places comes on and tells me they will be on for a while. I turn private quicknotes back on for then, then afterwards, I turn them off again. If I miss someone's last comment, I just say, what did you say? and they repeat it.

No John, but what could get annoying was when someone private quicknoted me, I'd answer them and start talking to them, then I'd end up just hanging there wondering if they were going to say anything else or not. I think what would happen is they were in the profile viewer, and didn't check my text profile first before sending me a quicknote, then they found out my age. But if anyone wanted to have a quicknote conversation with me, they could send me a pm and let me know, then I'd turn private notes on for them. anyway, that's why I turned them off.
